Where Did the New Year Go?

Time sure flies when you're busy working. It's been a while since I had some time to sit down and recollect my thoughts. Where did this whole month of January go? I've been so busy working on a few projects that FINALLY *sigh* came to fruition. But as always, new projects are waiting on the horizon. I can't really complain when there's people out there that are laid-off and unemployed.

Last weekend was my company's annual Employee Appreciation Dinner. I had a blast at the black and white themed event held at the Crystal Springs Golf Course. Everyone came dressed to impress and ready to get down! I ended up renting a tux after some pressure by a few employees for not wearing one last year. I must say even if it comes out sounding a little nose in the air is that I did look good in a tux. :)

I'm looking forward to a few upcoming trips. One upcoming trip I'm super duper excited about is the annual Taco Ski Trip over Presidents' Day weekend. I've been so jonesing to hit some nice pow. Believe it or not I have not made it up to the slopes this season yet. BIG BUMMER!!! This years trip takes all of us to Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado. These trips are always a blast for me because there's a few friends that I only get to see once a year so it's like an annual reunion and the peeps know how to partay!

My second trip, which is a huge trip and less than a month away is going to take 11 friends or soon to be friends south of the equator to Peru where we'll meet up with the FV crew to do a week long hike up the Salkantay "Savage" mountain trail. The trek should take us up to a height of 16,500 feet before we connect to the Inca Trail and end up in the great Incan city of Machu Picchu. I've been slowly training for this hike for at a height of little over 3 miles above sea level, the lack of oxygen alone is going to be a challenge.

While I am chillin in LA hanging with the fam this weekend, it is getting late and I need to rest before heading back to SF and hitting the grind once again. Goodnite.

FV Bon Voyage Send Off Party

Has it been 6 months already? Six months ago 2 friends (JoMo/Shaff) decided that they would quit their high profile jobs and disembark on a six month adventure of a lifetime that has been dubbed "The Fantastic Voyage 2009". They are going to travel around the world and experience everything that this planet can offer and than some.

This past Saturday we all got together to send them off in style by starting off at JoMo's then to Shanghai Kelly's, Royal Oak, Buc, and finally ending the night off at the Final, Final. We lost a few patrons along the way, might have been the ICBs that were dropped. It was an awesome night and I wish them both a fun and safe trip during their travels.
